Lifelong Learning Groups for people over the age of 45 involving guest
speakers,
Chiltern : Mondays 10am 12noon
at the Lake Anderson Scout Hall,
Howlong : Tuesdays 10am 12noon at the Howlong Community Health Centre, Hammer Street, Howlong.
The Program covers a wide range of activities, and is developed from
the
PROGRAM ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE: Craft of
every description cards, cross
stitch, knitting, crochet, sewing, embroidery, decoupage, glass painting,
beading, jewellery, candlewicking, Guest speakers diverse range of topics including Wills & power of attorney, driving as we get older, health topics, armchair travel to all sorts of interesting places. Aerobic Exercises & Swimming Cooking demos & of course the best part is to eat it. Movie days with shared lunches Games days including crazy whist, board games, mahjong, & bingo!, Outings once a year take a bus trip to Yarrawonga & enjoy a cruise on Lake Mulwala, We have also enjoyed trips to Bright, Wonga Wetlands, Burrumbuttock Nature reserve, ten pin bowling, walks in the Chiltern forest & along the Murray, Corowa Races on Melbourne Cup Day, historic tours of Howlong, Chiltern & Jindera, Oze Wildlife Sanctuary, Ettamogah Pub, Take advantage of movies & singing artists at the Commercial Club in Albury. Overnight Trips to Falls Creek, Werribee Park Mansion & Zoo, Bendigo . Learning is Lifelong, & the Group provides the opportunity to meet and socialise with each other, learn new skills and make good friends in a very supportive network. Come along and enjoy the company of others,
