CARD MAKING

 FOOD SAFETY TRAINING– (Accredited)
Level 1 Certificate  course in workplace hygiene procedures

This is essential for those involved in handling food in the hospitality industry.
ie All Clubs & organisations doing catering, all food businesses,
school canteens, anyone looking to work in the industry full time or perhaps
school students looking to do part time work.

FOOD SAFETY SUPERVISOR - Level 2 accredited

Designed for people who will be responsible for writing a
Food Safety Program within hotels, restaurants, café, grocers,
take away stores.  Using a registered template, which follows
National Food Safety Standards you will draft your Food Safety Program in class.

BRUSH UP OR EXTEND YOUR COMPUTER SKILLS

With Michael Leverett at Rutherglen High School  5 x 2 hr sessions
Includes Word, Excel, email, scanning, plus suggestions from the group.

INTRODUCTION TO WELDING

 In 3rd Term due to building refurbishments at High School.

4 x 3hr sessions with Chris Phillpot at Rutherglen High School  

Chris Phillpot has been teaching Metalwork since 1987. He will lead you
through the basic skills required to  successfully use the Oxy-Acetylene,
Gas metal arc (MIG) and manual metal arc (stick) welding units. As well as how
to cut metal using the Oxy-Acetylene unit. Safe work procedures and personal
safety will be a key component of the course.
Students will weld readily available metal such as angle iron, rectangular hollow
section (rhs) and plate steel. This introductory course is designed to allow people to develop confidence and skills in basic welding techniques.


BEAR MAKING


With Lucy Porter. Workshops to be held on 3 Sundays at Chiltern. 
10am to 4pm each day.
Dates:  6th, 20th  & 27th  May.

CHEESE MAKING

Learn how to make delicious cheeses & other dairy products from your home
kitchen.Workshops led by Carole Willman, experienced cheesemaker, educator
and co-author of the hugely popular  book, ‘Home Cheesemaking’.

The workshops start at 9.30 am. concluding at 3.30 pm.
Sat 21st  July     (TBC)    Make your own Camembert Cheese
Sunday 22nd July (TBC)   Make your own Blue Cheese
Other cheeses & yoghurt also demonstrated.
